Alfred Webre: Perpetual Victim

As some of you may not know I was recently promoted on the Open Minds Facebook page to an admin by Maureen Elsberry along with another individual. Around the same time as that promotion she decided to change the group to secret in the settings. This leads to the group not being able to be seen by anyone else on Facebook not already a member and also led to the resignation of the other individual that was promoted to admin because he felt it was not fully disclosed what she would be doing with the group. In her defense she has stated that she was leaving to manage the other pages on Facebook that Open Minds is associated with.  This left me as the only admin to a site that will surly die as intended when you take a group page to secret int he settings because there is no way to move it from that setting at this time. This is what I like to call a soft kill in social media. Maureen claims it was an accident but the question that begs to be asked is: If you are a social media director for a media outlet and you don’t understand the basic rules of Facebook then how are you a social media manager?

To be fair its a rhetorical question, she knows what she is doing and simply would rather give out BS answers like every other media outlet. Besides it’s in the best interest of Open Minds and herself to not come out and say what they want to do with the page. The writing is on the wall though.

Now on to the rest of the story. Once left as the sole admin on the page I posted this:

There was of course more to that post but seeing as I was removed by current Open Minds Admins or the page was deleted.. either way I was not able to get a full copy of that post. But, this is where old Uncle Alfred comes in, see he didn’t like what I had posted.

In response to this posting Alfred began a campaign of lies and intimidation against Open Minds and Maureen Elsberry. As you can read in his response below:

It turns out that the Facebook group “Open Minds” operates as part of the corporate umbrella of Open Minds magazine, which sponsors the International UFO Congress. Therefore this group admr is a legal agent of Open Minds magazine. I will keep you posted on the reactions of the officers and directors of Open Minds magazine www.openminds.tv when confronted with their new Facebook official policy that excludes any materials created by Alfred Webre

Alfred Lambremont Webre III This is the letter that I wrote to the lead Admr of Open Minds

Dear Maureen Elberry – Hi! I am writing you as lead administrator of the Facebook Group “Open Minds”. Your co-administrator Chip Plesher has pinned a group policy that states that one of the purposes of the group is to prohibit Alfred Webre and his works.

As administrator, Mr. Plesher has pinned the following language to the group:

“Icke, Hoagland, Greer, Webre, Basiago, Mantle all garbage Post anything related to them and you are gone instantly, unless its to show how big a fraud they all are then of course thats fine.”

1. This is a violation of Facebook rules, which prohibits groups that are founded to attack another Facebook member.

2. When contacted by me today, Mr. Plesher indicated in insulting language that he would delete my posting in your Open Minds group of the following mainstream media interview simply because PressTV interviewed me.

3. Open Minds group, as I understand it, exists under the corporate umbrella of Open Minds Magazine http://www.openminds.tv/

Therefore both you and Mr. Plesher are legal agents of Open Mind magazine.

REQUEST: I request that you review and rescind this unlawful and improper policy which establishes that a public purpose of your group is to attack me.

In the absence of your doing so, I have no other recourse but to take further action against Open Minds magazine, and its officers and directors.

I look forward to your prompt reply.

Thank you Maureen! This has been most distressing to myself and other whistleblowers like Andrew Basiago. I have always felt so safe in your group and have posted there frequently over the years. Now I feel persecuted. I want to be able to post there like any other Facebook member and to post my own articles and interviews without retaliation from the admnistrator based on their personal biases.

  In Conclusion, Alfred Webre lied to Maureen about the context of our conversation, intimidated Open Minds with legal action that wouldn’t hold up in any court and continued to play the victim while attempting to set his brainwashed fans in motion against me for not tolerating his brand of nonsense fantasy. Even more specifically at no time did I ever say he would be banned for posting anything himself.
